Volunteer
Want to help out on the farm? We're always looking for volunteers to harvest produce and maintain the garden.
Orchard Pond is devoted to health, integrity, and sustainability. Our mission is to produce the highest quality foods while enriching the land using sustainable practices. Excellent food and caring for the land are traditions that have been passed down for generations in our families, and this is our inspiration.
Our Mission
Farm Tours
At Orchard Pond, we believe that knowing where food comes from and what fresh organic food looks and tastes like can have a huge impact on a child, from the eating choices they make to what they aspire to be when they grow up. Education is an important aspect of our mission here at the farm, and showing people what we are up to is one of our favorite tasks.
A typical farm tour or field trip includes a walking tour of the farm (field, equipment, greenhouse, compost, processing area, kitchen, and beehives), a hands on activity determined by the season (ex. harvesting vegetables, planting seeds, pulling weeds, or collecting seeds), and a honey tasting. This is a great opportunity for schools, home school groups, church groups, Cub Scouts/Girl Scouts, garden clubs, and private groups. The cost is a $50 base fee plus $5/person including parents, chaperones, and teachers. Farm tours last approximately 2 hours, and groups are invited to bring a picnic lunch to enjoy at the farm after the conclusion of the tour.
